Positioned alongside State Highway 16 and Putaki Drive, Kumeu Central is a prominent retail development offering 1723m² of net lettable floor area. The client, Matvin Group have described the development as a centre point for the local community, and are thrilled with the building.
Gel Architects initiated the design and were later joined by Pacific Environments, both practices working in collaboration to complete the project. The Pacific Environments interiors team were tasked with the interior fit-out design for anchor tenants Anytime Fitness and Burger King, and an additional commercial office space. Large multinational company fit-outs come with their own set of unique challenges, brand representation and customer experience benchmarks are very particular. Sara and the interiors team worked to create efficient floor plans which catered to peak and off-peak visitor flows. Creating opportunities for brand exposure and in-store signage was also a key element of the brief.
