Bledisloe Park Sports Centre

Described as a building that perfectly met the brief, the Bledisloe Sports Centre is home to two sports clubs, the Pukekohe Association Football Club and the Pukekohe Metro Cricket Club.

The centre is a practical, highly functional building that is cost-effective to run, and was delivered within the agreed budget. The simple, stylish design includes six downstairs changing rooms and a corner tuck-shop that opens to the grounds. Upstairs a range of rooms include a bar and restaurant, offices, meeting and event rooms and all are planned for disabled accessibility (including a lift).

The design takes full advantage of the view from the clubrooms and includes a generous balcony area overlooking the playing fields. Auckland Council plans to upgrade the grounds of Bledisloe Park in 2018. The football fields will be realigned to produce maximum viewing from the new Sports Centre balcony.
