As Architects behind the innovative design of The Botanic Retirement Village, we are thrilled to announce the completion of another stage, marking a significant milestone in our journey towards creating a vibrant and inclusive community space. With the unveiling of the Clubhouse & Pool House alongside the Nikau Apartments, we have brought to life our vision of blending modern aesthetics with functionality, all while fostering a deep connection with nature.
At the heart of The Botanic Retirement Village lies the Clubhouse and Pool House, envisioned as dynamic centers of community life. Designed with a contemporary flair that seamlessly integrates with the natural surroundings, these structures stand as testaments to our commitment to creating spaces that surpass expectations.
The Clubhouse showcases versatile spaces for dining and entertainment, catering to the diverse interests of our residents. Meanwhile, the Pool House offers a comprehensive suite of amenities including a 20-meter pool, gym, spa, sauna, and steam room, ensuring that residents have access to a holistic wellness experience right at their doorstep.
Drawing inspiration from traditional gable roofs, we have imbued these structures with a playful twist that evolves over time. The use of timber and glass in the facade not only enhances flexibility but also fosters a lively atmosphere, attracting residents and visitors alike throughout the day.
The Nikau Apartments represent the first of several apartment buildings within The Botanic Retirement Village, designed to provide independent living options for our residents. Featuring 32 apartment units across 4 floors, these residences offer a diverse range of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom typologies to cater to individual needs.
Constructed primarily with pre-cast concrete and Post-Tension Floor slabs, the Nikau Apartments prioritize robustness and longevity. The facade is artfully articulated with relief patterns and balcony shrouds, ensuring visual harmony with the surrounding villas while providing privacy, shade, and shelter for residents.
The entry experience is characterised by airy, light-filled spaces, accentuated by double-height lobby areas and mesh screens that play with shadows and natural light. Moreover, universal design principles are embedded throughout the building, with features such as level entries, wide corridors, and wireless emergency systems ensuring accessibility and comfort for all residents.
In essence, the completion of this stage at The Botanic Retirement Village represents a culmination of our dedication to creating a community that thrives on the principles of modernity, functionality, and inclusivity. As architects, we take pride in our contribution to this exceptional project, and we look forward to witnessing the continued growth and flourishing of this vibrant community space.
